The Difficult-Discussions Podcast

The Difficult Discussions podcast series is a resource that is created by Difficult-Discussions Inc. a social welfare organization that focuses on creating equitable and inclusive communities. The series will serve as a resource to spread ideas and help educate people on topics related to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).  We are currently in the first season of the podcast. Workshop for 2023 Portage County Leadership Program

 On Thursday, January 19, 2023, we hosted a workshop titled "Fostering Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion as a Leader" for the Portage County Leadership Program organized by the Portage County Business Council, Inc. Here are some statistics from our post-event survey responses:


100% of the post-event survey respondents said that the presenter was knowledgeable about the topic.

100% of the post-event survey respondents said that they would recommend the workshop to their colleagues.

On June 18, 2022, the Difficult-Discussions Inc. team asked attendees of the Stevens Point, Wisconsin Juneteenth Celebration to share why diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) mattered to them. Our goal was to get more people to think about DEI. This video captures a spectrum of reasons why we should embrace DEI in our communities. Workshop for 2021 Marathon County Dr.Martin Luther King Jr. Day Series of Events

  On Monday, January 18, 2021, we hosted a workshop titled “Mental Health Stigma Associated with Culture” for the Marathon County Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day series of events. The workshop was attended by over 200 participants and here are some statistics from our post-event survey responses:

University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point Pride Crosswalk Maintenance Memorandum of Understanding

We created the University of Wisconsin- Stevens Point (UWSP) Pride Crosswalk maintenance memorandum of understanding. We also coordinated the approval and signing of the document by the Stevens Point, WI Mayor Mike Wiza, the UWSP Student Government Association President Morgan Jeidy, and the UWSP Student Government Association Vice-President Rayvn Knipple. This document which was signed into effect on 5/6/2020 ensures the upkeep and maintenance of the crosswalk which was painted on October 14, 2019.
